THE CHALLENGE

The Global Real Estate organisation of a leading telecoms JV Company needed to capture the portfolio under management & identify plans to significantly reduce cost. 


The JV Company had diverse modes of operation and cultural challenges to overcome.

THE SOLUTION

To capture the data the team deployed PACS-TOOLS to over 400 users across 103 Countries.  All users were trained to populate the tool with the portfolio, cost, service scope, service level and service contract data. 


Portfolio and commodity sourcing plans were identified to reduce the RE Operating cost by over €110m PA over the first 3 years. 


The PACS team were appointed to implement the plan and report progress to the leadership team.

THE BENEFITS

A baseline was established on which future RE performance could be measured against and all changes tracked via the auditable approval processes.


PACS-TOOLS became the recognised performance management tool for the Global RE Team, tracking all portfolio changes and organisation changes. 


The saving target was exceeded and delivered early by implementing property consolidation plans and alternative workplace strategies.


The internal headcount was reduced by over 350 and an additional €9m of FM cost savings were delivered from outsourcing global FM operations.
